Every semester various central Ohio high school seniors hear a presentation from CBR Midwest. The kids are attentive and ask questions. Statistics continue to show that young people, especially teenagers, are becoming more and more pro-life. CBR targets young people with our projects because they represent America’s future decision makers and leaders. Here are some recent comments from some High School students after a visit by CBR Midwest:
“Mostly everything Mark Harrington said was backed up with evidence from medical resources, the Bible, court rulings, or other outside sources. In my mind, he presented the most logically sound and valid argument of any speaker to date, whether one agreed with him or not.”
“Before Mark Harrington, I considered myself pro-choice. However, after Mark Harrington, I began to reconsider my position on this issue.”
"One thing I liked about Mr. Harrington’s presentation was his use of facts. With each point, he appeared to have some sort of factual evidence to prove what was said, unlike many previous speakers. Photos used during the presentation were very graphic, but they appeared to get his point across very well.”
“I thought Mark Harrington’s presentation was fantastically executed. He was by far one of the best, most articulate speakers we have had in class so far.”
“Mr. Harrington is so far the only speaker that I personally disagreed with that I genuinely respected.”
“The use of the picture of the gooified fetus did not bring any new or useful information to the argument; he was merely trying to shock and disgust us into believing his side. On the whole, Mr. Harrington made some logically sound points, but I remain unconvinced that he is correct.”

CBR Midwest at March for Life Reaches Thousands of Youth
On Jan. 22, 2005 CBR displayed the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) at the March for Life in Washington DC. Thousands of youth were present to review the evidence that abortion is an act of violence that kills a baby. Even though this venue is designed for pro lifers many of the young people present have never seen abortion.
CBR remains convinced that this event likely saves more babies than any other thing we do. Thanks to your support, we are influencing the next generation of leaders.

CBR: Training the Future
In early February, CBR Midwest staffer Paul Trioani had the privilege to go to Vancouver, B.C. for a speaker and fundraising training. The seminar was taught by Stephanie Gray, director of the Canadian Center for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR). The weekend was titled “Taking Abortion Seriously: Doing More than Easing the Conscience, Working to Stop the Killing.” The purpose of the three day seminar was to motivate serious pro-lifers to work full-time. There are more people working full-time to kill babies than there are working full-time to save them. This is all changing thanks to CBR’s vision to train leaders.

As CBR Midwest travels to California for our annual planning meeting we are looking to improve upon our success.
